We really enjoyed this project in Leeds. This customer came to us as he was in the process of having a new kitchen fitted however his existing kitchen was staying in place to remain in use while the work was going on and the new kitchen was being fitted in a new room. The challenge was the existing fusebox was located in the existing kitchen and was also full with the rest of the house being freshly decorated.
We opted to split his existing incoming cabling in his outside meter box and fit a main switch to then be able to run a new feed to a new location nearer where the new kitchen was to be fitted. This gave the customer plenty of scope when deciding what he wanted in the kitchen and also the scope for a new utility and downstairs toilet that they had planned later down the line. Not only that it meant the existing decorations did not have to be disturbed as we could run one new cable from the meter box under the flooring and up to the new position.
Along with our help the client designed the kitchen with wren and told them what he wanted within the kitchen including the LED lighting that was fitted within the drawer handles and under the kitchen work tops. This had to be all pre-planned so as that the kitchen could made specifically to cater for this. We also fitted some lovely new pendants over the breakfast bar that were controlled via, a company favourite, wireless light switch. We even tested the switches capabilities once fitted, we stood at the bottom of the clients garden which was roughly 30m from the lights and switched them on, and guess what? They worked, impressive!
All in all the client was over the moon with this project and has now become a long standing customer.
